BLONDIES 
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
1 stick real butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 c. walnuts or pecans, chopped

Combine all dry ingredients. Add butter, eggs, and vanilla. Add pecans. Bake in a greased 9 x 13 inch pan for 40 to 45 minutes. Do not overbake. Cookies should be chewy.

For variation: Add 1 cup chocolate chips or M & M's.
