2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Dash salt
1 1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 tsp. baking powder
1 egg, beaten
1 c. milk

Mix together flour, nutmeg, salt, sugar, and butter. Make crumbs of this and reserve 3/4 cup for the top.

To the rest add and mix in 2 teaspoons baking powder. When these are evenly mixed, add one beaten egg with one cup milk. Mix lightly but well. Place in greased 9 inch square pan and sprinkle with reserved crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 40 minutes.
