CRISP CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 (12 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate bits
1 c. butter, softened
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts

Mix flour, soda and salt; set aside. In large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light. Beat in egg and vanilla until light and fluffy. With a spoon, stir in flour mixture, chocolate and nuts.

Shape in 1 inch balls and place about 2 inches apart on cookie sheet. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven 15 minutes or until flat and browned. (Cookies will have soft centers.) Cool completely on cookie sheet. Store in airtight container.
