1 stick Fleischmans butter
1/2 c. sugar

Bring to a boil. Stir just a couple seconds. Line a large cookie sheet with sides with Waverly crackers (do no break) in ungreased tin. Pour mixture over crackers. Spread with knife. Sprinkle 2 ounces of chopped slivered almonds over it. Bake in preheated at 350 degree oven for 10-15 minutes until brown. Break in 3 while warm.
