GLAZED MEAT LOAF 
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 egg
4 slices wheat bread crumbs
1 tsp. vegetable oil
1/2 c. onions, diced
1/2 c. celery
1/2 c. green pepper
1 carrot, shredded
1 clove garlic, minced
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/8 tsp. oregano
1/8 tsp. basil
1/8 tsp. thyme

SAUCE:

3 tbsp. chili sauce
3 tsp. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. dry mustard

In large bowl combine beaten egg, milk and bread crumbs; toss to coat, set aside. Heat oil, add garlic and vegetables, saute' until soft, add first mixture to second mixture. Then add meat, herbs and combine well. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Shape meat mixture into a ring on glass pan or pie dish. Cook 35 to 40 minutes.

In small bowl combine chili sauce, brown sugar and dry mustard. Brush chili sauce mixture over entire surface of meat and cook 15 minutes longer.
