SNAPS 
2 lbs. snap beans
1 ham bone, cooked
Salt
1 tsp. sugar, brown or granulated
Red hot pepper flakes

Place ham bone in pot and add water to cover. Bring to a boil. String the beans and snap or cut into desired lengths. Add to the pot along with the sugar and pepper flakes. Cook over medium heat for 1 hour. Add salt to taste. Serves 6 to 8.
