You dump all the following ingredients into the cake pan.

1 (No. 2) can crushed pineapple (not drained)
1 can cherry pie filling (any pie filling can be used)
1 box yellow or white cake mix
1-2 sticks butter
1/2 c. nuts (optional)

Grease 9x13 pan. Dump in crushed pineapple and spread out. Dump cherry pie filling over pineapple. Sprinkle dry cake mix over fruit. Sprinkle with nuts.

Cut butter in thin patties and place over top. DO NOT STIR. Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour. Cool in pan. May be topped with whipped cream or ice cream.

Makes 15 servings.
