MOM'S PRUNE CAKE 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. stewed prunes - save juice
1/2 c. sour milk or cream
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. prune juice
2 eggs
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. baking soda
2 1/2 c. flour

Cream butter, sugar and milk. Add eggs, beat well, then prunes and juice. Sift dry ingredients and add to mixture. Bake 350 for 35 minutes.

PRUNE FROSTING:

2 tbsp. butter
2 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. prune juice
2 tbsp. hot lemon juice
