1/4 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. sugar
1/4 c. shortening
1 egg
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Mix butter, shortening, sugar and egg. Blend in flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Shape dough by rounded teaspoonfuls into balls. Mix 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon, roll balls into mixture. Place 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Remove from baking sheet immediately.
