SNICKER-DOODLES 
1 c. shortening (I use 2 sticks butter)
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Cinnamon/sugar mixture = 2 tbsp. sugar + 1 tsp. cinnamon

Mix together shortening or butter, sugar and eggs. In separate bowl combine flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Mix all ingredients together. Chill in refrigerator for 1 hour. Make into small balls and roll in cinnamon/sugar mixture. Bake on 400 degrees for 8 minutes.
