GREEN TOMATO PICKLES 
1 gallon green tomatoes
6 onions
1/2 c. salt
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 pods hot red pepper
1 tbsp. ground mustard
1 tbsp. mustard seed
1 tbsp. celery seed
1 tbsp. allspice
1 tbsp. horseradish
1 tbsp. whole black pepper
4 c. vinegar

Slice tomatoes and onions. Sprinkle with salt. Let stand overnight. Drain. Boil sugar and seasonings with vinegar 5 minutes (tie spices in bag). Cool slightly. Add tomatoes and onions. Simmer 30 minutes. pack into hot jars and seal at once.
