HOMEMADE PANCAKES 
1 1/4 c. flour
2 tbsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tbsp. salt
1 egg
1 c. milk
2 tbsp. oil or shortening

Sift dry ingredients together. Add milk, egg and oil. Cook on hot griddle or skillet. For thinner pancakes, add a little more milk. Makes about 8 pancakes.

Put top crust on and slit to allow steam to escape. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 400 until done, approximately 50 minutes.
