SOFT PINEAPPLE COOKIES 
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 can crushed pineapple
Nuts (optional)

Cream both sugars with shortening. Add eggs alternately. Combine dry ingredients and add, beating. Stir in pineapple and chopped nuts. Bake on light greased sheet at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
