BROILED ICING | |
1/3 c. butter, melted 2/3 c. brown sugar, firmly packed 1/4 c. cream/top milk (can use evaporated milk) 1/2 c. coconut Mix ingredients and spread on warm cake. Place cake under broiler, as far as possible from the source of heat, with heat turned to low. Cook until it bubbles all over and becomes nicely toasted, but watch carefully to prevent scorching. Makes enough for 9 x 13-inch, but thicker and more on the smaller 8- or 9-inch square or 7 x 11-inch. |
