KEIFLIES 
DOUGH:

4 c. flour
1 lb. butter
6 egg yolks
1 pt. sour cream

Mix flour and butter and beaten egg yolks and sour cream. Work until dough is smooth. Shape into balls about the size of a walnut and chill overnight.

Next morning: Roll out each ball and spread on each one the following mixture (approximately 1 teaspoon each) : 6 egg whites (beaten stiff) 1 lb. powdered sugar Lemon juice if desired

Grind nutmeats; add sugar and egg whites and lemon juice.

Put 1 teaspoon per rolled out ball and roll up like a crescent roll or a jelly roll. Curve into crescent-moon shape. Bake at 350 degrees about 20 minutes or until golden brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar just before serving or when cooled.

NOTE: Freezes excellent. Freeze, but sprinkle with powdered sugar after thawing.
