2 c. sugar 2 c. flour 2 sticks butter 4 tbsp. cocoa 1 c. water 2 beaten eggs 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 c. sour cream Place sugar and flour in a bowl. In a saucepan melt butter, cocoa and water. Bring to boil, stirring mixture while cooking. When boiled, add this hot mixture to the flour and sugar in bowl. Add remaining ingredients. Beat with spoon until mixed. Pour into large jelly roll pan, spread evenly. Bake at 400 degrees for exactly 20 minutes. TOPPING: 1 stick butter 4 tbsp. cocoa 6 tbsp. milk 3 1/2 c. powdered sugar 1 c. chopped nuts Boil butter, cocoa and milk in a saucepan. After boiling add powdered sugar and mix thoroughly. Add and mix in the nuts. Spread on hot cake. |
