SCALLOPED POTATOES AND PORK
CHOPS
 
6 potatoes, sliced thin
2 med. onions, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
Milk
4-6 pork chops
1 tbsp. oil

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Use casserole dish big enough to hold required number of chops; put potatoes in dish in 3-4 layers, sprinkling with salt, pepper, and onion. Dot each layer with butter and pour enough milk over just to cover. Trim fat from chops and brown quickly each side in skillet; put on top of potatoes and bake until tender, about 1 hour. Potatoes can be baked without meat if they are sprinkled with grated cheese or buttered crumbs before baking.
