SCONES 
1 c. oats
1 3/4 c. whole wheat flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. cold butter
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1/2 c. bran
3/4-1 c. milk
1 tbsp. vinegar
2 tbsp. honey

Mix dry ingredients. Cut in the butter until mixture is crumbly. Stir in pecans. Add milk mixed with vinegar and honey and toss lightly. Make little cakes about 1/4 inch thick. Bake on hot greased griddle until well browned, about 15 minutes or so. Can freeze these and warm in toaster.
