SCONES 
1 egg
1 c. warm milk
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. shortening
1 tsp. salt
1 pkg. yeast in 1/2 c. warm water
3 c. flour

Mix. Let stand 15 minutes. Roll out and cut in wedge pieces. Fry in grease until golden brown.
