VEGETABLE PUDDING (STEAMED) 
1 c. chopped potatoes
1 c. chopped carrots
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. chopped suet
1 c. seeded raisins
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. clove
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda (dissolved in 1 tbsp. hot water)

Combine all ingredients together. Steam 3 hours in metal coffee cans set in a pan of water in a 350 degree oven.
