NEVER FAIL YEAST DOUGH | |
1 pkg. cake yeast 1 c. plus 1 tsp. sugar 1 c. scalded milk 1/2 c. butter 3 beaten eggs 4-5 c. sifted flour 1 tsp. salt Mix yeast and 1 teaspoon sugar; combine milk, 1 cup of sugar and butter. Let cool. Add yeast to milk mixture. Add eggs, flour and salt; beat well. Place dough in greased bowl, cover and let rise until double i size or refrigerate overnight. Knead on floured board until bubbles appear. Shape. Brush with butter and let rise until double in size. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. |
