LITE STRAWBERRY JAM 
6 c. crushed berries (about 2 1/2 qt. strawberries)
4 1/2 c. sugar
1 box (Sure-Jell) lite pectin

Wash and drain berries; remove caps. Crush thoroughly, one layer at a time.

Measure berries into a large pan. Mix 1/4 cup sugar with pectin; stir into prepared fruit. Bring to a full rolling boil (takes about 5 minutes) then immediately add remaining sugar. Bring back to a full rolling boil; boil rapidly 1 minute. Remove from heat; skim. Ladle into hot sterilized jars, leaving 1/4 inch head space. Seal; process in water bath for 10 minutes.

Remove jars from bath and leave undisturbed for 24 hours. Label; store in a cool place. Makes 9 half-pints.
