PARKER HOUSE ROLLS 
1 c. yeast or 1 pkg.
2 tbsp. sugar
6 c. flour
2 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. shortening

Dissolve yeast in warm milk, add sugar. Sift in 3 cups flour, beat until smooth. Let rise until double in bulk. Add melted shortening, remaining flour and salt. Knead 5 minutes. Let rise until double in bulk. Shape into rolls, let rise and bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes.
