GRANDMOM BUECHLER'S FUDGE | |
2 c. sugar 16 reg. sized marshmallows 1/2 stick butter 1/2 tsp. salt 1 sm. (5 oz.) can evaporated milk 1 c. (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips 1 tsp. vanilla Place sugar, marshmallows, butter, salt and evaporated milk in 2 quart saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until marshmallows are dissolved and mixture is bubbling all over. Then cook for 10 minutes stirring occasionally to keep mixture from burning. Remove from heat. Add chocolate chips and vanilla. Beat until chips are entirely dissolved and mixture becomes slightly thick. Pour into slightly greased (buttered) square or oblong baking dish. Let stand until cool. Cut into bite-sized pieces. There will be approximately 36 to 48. Approximately 1 1/2 pounds fudge. |
