GUMDROP COOKIES 
1 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. granulated sugar and 1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. milk and 1 tsp. vanilla
2 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. chopped gumdrops

Cream together butter and sugars. Beat in milk and vanilla. Stir together flour and baking powder, blend into creamed mixture. Stir in gumdrops. Chill 1 hour. Form into 1 inch balls; place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with sugared bottom of a glass. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Remove and place on a cooling rack - cool. Makes 5 1/2 dozen cookies.
