SOUTHERN BLUEBERRY POUND CAKE | |
Cream 2 cups sugar and 1 cup butter (I use 1/2 butter and 1/2 shortening). Add 3 eggs alternately with 3 cups flour and 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon mace. Add 1/2 cup milk. In a separate bowl combine 2 teaspoons sugar and 2 teaspoons flour with 2 cups blueberries. Fold into cake batter and pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 70 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean. |
