1 2/3 c. white flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/3 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/3 c. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2/3 c. powdered sugar
1 lg. egg
35-40 chocolate kisses

Mix flour, starch, baking powder and soda; set aside. Beat butter and peanut butter with an electric mixer on medium speed until light. Add powdered sugar and brown sugar; mix. Add egg and vanilla. Beat until incorporated but not over mixed.

Shape into 1 1/4 inch balls, slightly flatten.

Bake at 350°F for 9-11 minutes or until lightly browned at the edges. Put candy kiss in center of baked cookie. Cool 3-4 minutes and transfer to wire rack.
