PEANUT SAUCE
Tastes great over noodles and vegetables, or as a sauce over chicken or beef.

2 tbsp. smooth peanut butter
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 to 2 cloves garlic, minced or chopped
1/4 cup water
1 tbsp. brown sugar
juice from half a lemon (can be less, depending on your tastes)

In a non-stick pan, combine all ingredients, stirring constantly over medium heat until peanut butter has melted.

Note: You can do this in the microwave too, for about 30 to 40 seconds.

Peanut Sauce

 JP Colter (California) says:
This is a great basic peanut sauce and is easy to adapt to your personal tastes. Variations I like are to add chopped toasted peanuts for a little crunch and I also sometimes add hot sauce like tobacco or Cholua. I use this recipe primarily with rice noodles and diced up chicken breast.

Made sauce, had no brown sugar used half amount of white. Very good result. Reminiscent of the sauce I first tried, thank you.

This was amazing. I cut the recipe in half and poured it over leftover spaghetti noodles, I'll even have enough for lunch tomorrow. Even though I didn't add garlic it still was great.

I didn't have any lemon, so substituted some lime juice, and added some chili powder. YUMMY and EASY-PEASY!

Love this recipe! It is the only peanut sauce my kids will eat on satay chicken as it's not too spicy for them. Hubby adds fresh chilli to spice his up when it's served.

OMG!!! I never thought this sauce would be so good!! I was in a rush and my vegetable stir-fry was plain Jane, so I goggled peanut sauce and picked this one because of time constraints and all easy available ingredients! My husband really liked it and I threw it on the veggies and voilą!!! Thank you, Thank you, THANK YOU! To be repeated in the future!

So delicious! Topped some shredded zucchini and paired it with shrimp fried rice. We loved the sauce so much we actually threw the remainder on the rice! I used low fat peanut butter and low sodium soy sauce so I had to adjust for the flavors with more brown sugar and soy sauce. I also wanted the sauce slightly thinner so I added more water. This just shows how versatile the recipe is, using the ingredients you are already putting in. I am now looking for other things we can put this sauce on top of. Thank you so much for something new and so yummy!

Delicious! I didn't add lemon, instead I used lemon pepper! I put it over fettuccine noodles with chicken and broccoli.

This is so great! I am always looking for mayonnaise substitutes, (Can't stand the stuff!) and I used this sauce as the "mayo" in a chicken salad! Served with Croissants and it was a major hit. mmmmm Thank you!
