KIM'S CHRISTMAS COOKIES | |
1 cup (2 sticks) butter 1 cup lard (or shortening) 3 cups sugar 4 eggs 2 cups dairy sour cream 8 cups all-purpose flour 2 tsp. baking powder 2 tsp. baking soda 2 tsp. vanilla 2 tsp. salt 2 tsp. nutmeg Mix all ingredients in large bowl and beat until creamy with electric mixer, Wrap dough tightly in waxed paper or plastic (Saran) wrap. Chill dough in refrigerator overnight. Preheat oven to 375°F. Roll out dough 1/4-inch thick. Cut into desired shapes and place on cookie sheet. Bake at 375°F for about 8 minutes. Note: Cookies will be light brown on bottom-pale on top. Submitted by: Kim |
