ESCALLOPED OYSTERS 
1 qt. oysters
1 c. cream
1 c. bread crumbs
1/2 c. melted butter
1 tbsp. celery seed
Salt and pepper

Mix melted butter and crumbs together. Put a thin layer of this mixture in bottom of buttered baking dish. Cover with a layer of oysters and sprinkle with seasonings. Add some of the cream. Add layers of oysters and buttered crumbs and sprinkle each layer with cream. Bake in hot 400 degree oven for 1/2 hour. Serves 4.
