GRANDMA WIDDIS' MOLASSES COOKIES 
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 1/4 c. shortening
2 eggs
1/2 c. molasses
1 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 1/2 c. flour

Cream shortening and brown sugar; add eggs and milk. Mix in molasses. Mix together flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, allspice and nutmeg. Then mix the two together. Roll into balls, then roll the balls in regular table sugar and place on pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes.
