MOM'S CHOCOLATE CANDY OATMEAL
COOKIES
 
1 stick butter
1/2 c. milk
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 3/4 c. oatmeal (quick)

In a large saucepan, melt butter, add milk and mix well. Gradually add sugar, stirring constantly. Add cocoa and stir until smooth and creamy. Bring to a boil and cook for 1 minute. Add vanilla and gradually add oatmeal and vigorously stir until batter starts to get firm. Using a tablespoon, drop on wax paper lined cookie sheet to harden. Put in refrigerator to harden.
