TEXAS PECAN PIE 
3 eggs
3/4 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1 c. pecan halves
1 c. white Karo syrup or dark
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. melted butter

Beat together all ingredients except butter and pecans. Beat just enough to mix and add 1 cup pecan halves. After mixture has been poured into pie crust, pour melted butter over top. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes and at 300 degrees until firm. Approximately 30 minutes.
