OATMEAL CHOCOLATE CHIP WALNUT COOKIES | |
2/3 c. white sugar 2/3 c. brown sugar 1 c. softened butter 2 tsp. vanilla extract 2 tbsp. milk 2 eggs, lightly beaten 2 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. baking powder 2 1/2 c. old fashioned oats (not instant) 2 c. (12 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips 1 1/2 c. chopped walnuts Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter with sugar by mixer or by hand. Add vanilla, milk and eggs. Add flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder to the creamed mixture and beat to combine. By hand, stir in the oats, chips and nuts. Drop 1 1/2 inches apart on greased cookie sheets. Bake 10-12 minutes. Let sit 1 minute, then remove to cooling racks. For chocoholics, double the chocolate chips! (Also can add raisins and/or substitute pecans for walnuts.) Makes about 4 dozen. |
