BAKED SWISS CAULIFLOWER | |
1 lg. head cauliflower 2 3/4 c. shredded Swiss cheese 1 1/2 c. half and half 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/2 c. bread crumbs 3 egg yolks, beaten 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 c. melted butter Wash cauliflower, and discard green leaves; break into flowerets. Cook, covered, 10 minutes, in a small amount of boiling salted water; drain. Place cauliflower in a buttered 1 1/2 quart shallow baking dish. Combine remaining ingredients except butter, and pour over cauliflower; drizzle butter over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Yield: 6 servings. |
