BISHOP'S BREAD 
1 c. sugar
3 eggs
4 tbsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped dates
1 c. maraschino cherries
2 c. nuts
1 1/2 c. flour
1/3 c. cherry juice
1 pkg. chocolate bits

Mix as for any loaf cake, using the cherry juice instead of milk. If the mixture seems to be too soft, add more flour. Add chopped dates, cherries, nuts and chocolate bits last. Bake in a loaf or tube cake pan in a medium oven.
