MEATBALLS WITH PINEAPPLE 
1/2 lb. chuck or blade steak
1 onion
1/2 egg
Oil
7 oz. canned pineapple pieces
Green tops of 2 scallions
3/4 c. syrup from canned pineapple
1 tbsp. cornflour
2 tbsp. vinegar
1 tbsp. soy sauce
2 tbsp. sugar

Mince the steak and onion together. Beat the egg lightly and stir it into the meat. Form the mixture into small balls and roll in cornflour. Deep fry the balls in hot oil until golden. Place remaining ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Add the meatballs and simmer, covered for 5 minutes.
