COCONUT CAKE | |
1 pkg. Duncan Hine butter recipe cake mix 2 c. sugar 16 oz. sour cream 12 oz. coconut 1 1/2 c. Cool Whip Bake cake according to box directions for 2 layer cake. When cool, split layers. Combine sugar, sour cream and coconut. Blend well and chill while cake is baking. Reserve 1 cup of mixture. Add Cool Whip to the rest of the mixture; mix well. Spread sour cream mixture BETWEEN layers. FROST cake over all with Cool Whip mixture. Cover air tight and chill for 3 days before cutting. |
