ORANGE/SOUR-CREAM CAKE 
3 c. sugar
1/2 lb. butter
1 stick butter
6 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
1/4 c. orange juice
2 tsp. orange flavoring
3 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder

Cream shortening, butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with orange juice and sour cream. Add flavoring. Blend well.

Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes in tube pan or until done, at 325°F.

Icing:

1 box confectioners sugar
1 stick butter
1/4 tsp. orange flavoring
enough milk for easy spreading consistency
