2 c. cut up dates
2 c. boiling water, over dates
1/3 c. oil
1 1/2 c. white sugar
2 eggs
3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts

Bake in 375 degree oven for 20 minutes.
