BAKED BEAN CASSEROLE 
1 lb. thick bacon, cut, fried and drippings
2 c. chopped onions, sauteed in drippings

Add:

1/2 c. white vinegar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. dried mustard

Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.

Add the bacon and sauce to the following beans in a casserole dish:

1 (#2) can kidney beans
1 (#2) can butter beans
1 (#2) can baby lima beans
1 (#2) can B & M baked beans

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

I've used this recipe for nearly 40 years -- I use apple cider vinegar instead of white, and I put everything together and let them marinate overnight, and then bake them. These are beans that are much better the longer they sit. Also be sure to drain the canned beans -- you can use any combination you like, and I often use a couple of different styles of the Bush's beans for variety. These are always a hit, and keeps people coming back for more!
