IRISH SODA BREAD 
2 c. white flour
2 c. whole wheat flour
2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda

Mix all dry ingredients well. Make hole in center and pour in all the buttermilk. Stir and spoon or hands into a ball - put on floured surface and knead lightly. Pat into round to fit 12 inch pan floured. Cut deep cross. Bake in preheated 425 degrees for 15 minutes then lower temperature to 375 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Cool on rack.
