POTATO-MEAT SCALLOP 
4 c. pared, thinly sliced potatoes
1 1/2 c. thinly sliced onion
1 lb. ground beef chuck
Salt and pepper, add parsley and garlic powder, if desired
1 can condensed tomato soup
1 soup can water

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Alternate layers of potatoes, onion and chunks of ground beef in a deep 2 1/2 quart casserole. Sprinkle salt and pepper (etc.) lightly over each layer. Combine soup and water; pour over mixture in casserole. Cover and bake 1 1/2 hours. Serves 4.
