SUNDAY MORNING CAKE 
2 eggs, well beaten
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. scalded milk
1 tbsp. butter, melted

TOPPING:

1/4 c. butter
2/3 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. milk
3/4 c. chopped nuts
1/8 tsp. salt

Add sugar to eggs slowly while beating with electric mixer. Add vanilla. Stir in sifted dry ingredients and quickly add milk and butter. Pour into a greased pan 7 x 11 x 1 1/2 inch deep. Bake in a moderate oven 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Cream butter and brown sugar thoroughly. Add remaining ingredients and blend.

When cake is baked drop topping from a teaspoon over cake and as mixture begins to melt spread gently over entire top. Return to oven and broil about 5 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown. Cool and cut into squares.
