BROCCOLI SOUP | |
5 c. water broccoli 1 medium onion 16 oz. Cheez Whiz 1 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. garlic powder 1/4 c. butter 2 c. half and half 1/2 c. flour 1/2 c. cold water Bring 5 cups water to boil. Add onion, broccoli (can be fresh or frozen; if frozen, equal to one head of broccoli, more, if desired). Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 10 minutes. Add Cheez Whiz and seasoning, stirring until Cheez melts. Stir in half and half and butter; cook over low heat. Combine flour and cold water, stirring until smooth. Gradually add to broccoli mixture, stirring constantly. Cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring constantly. |
