Made this for the first time and they were delicious! I fried them I a little coconut oil and butter. Gives them a bit of a crust finish and served them with left over stuffed peppers.

Better not use butter... Use only Crisco for frying these patties! My Mom made them for years. When I married my wife, I tried her 'simple recipe': 'Make patties from mashed potatoes in last night's dinner.' Dismal failure... Took a phone call to Mom, who laughed and said "Crisco."

I rolled in chick pea flour (I am Gluten Free). I cooked in Smaltz (Chicken fat) for added flavor I added a little chopped parsley. Yummy!

Made these the first time in 2014. They've become the go-to recipe whenever I have extra potatoes. This is an easy, tasty recipe. I've tried other cheeses and everything is yummy.
