THREE IN ONE HAMBURGER MIX
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 tbsp. butter
2 lb. ground beef
2/3 c. catsup
1/2 c. water
1/4 c. chopped celery
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vinegar
1/2 tsp. flavor enhancer (monosodium glutamate)
1/4 tsp. dry mustard

Saute onion in butter. Add beef and brown lightly. Drain off excess fat. Add rest of ingredients; simmer covered for 30 minutes. Cool. Makes 4 cups.

VARIATION: Barbecued Hamburgers: Heat 1 1/3 cups Three-In-One Hamburger. Mix slowly in skillet. Use as filling for hot buttered hamburger buns. Makes enough for 4 buns.

Cheese-broiled Barbecue: Heat 1 1/3 cups Three-In-One Hamburger mix. Butter split English muffins lightly; toast in oven or under broiler. Top each half with some of beef mixture and a slice of process American cheese. Place under broiler until cheese bubbles and is lightly browned. Makes enough for 8 English muffin halves.

Easy Chili: Heat 1 1/3 cups Three-In-One Hamburger Mix. Add 1 can (15 ounce) kidney beans, including liquid, 1/2 to 1 cup tomato juice and 2 to 3 teaspoons chili powder. 2 generous servings.
