BEEF AND CHEESE FOLDOVER | |
1 lb. ground beef 1/4 c. onion 1/4 c. green pepper (optional) 3/4 c. barbecue sauce 6 slices American cheese 2 (8 oz.) cans crescent rolls Brown meat, onion, and pepper; drain. Add barbecue sauce and set aside. Unroll crescent dough into four long rectangles on a sheet of foil. Overlap long sides and press edges and perforations and flatten to form a large rectangle. Spread meat mixture in a lengthwise strip in center of dough. Top meat with cheese slices. Fold short ends of dough in, then bring long ends into center. Pinch all edges to seal the dough. Lift the foil to put on a cookie sheet. Bake until golden brown in 375 degree oven 25 minutes. Serves 6. |
