SAUSAGES, PEPPERS AND PASTA 
2 lbs. hot or mild Italian sausage (or 1 lb. each), cut in 2" lengths
2 c. chopped onions
1 1/2 c. each green & red pepper strips (sweet peppers)
1 c. marinara sauce
1/4 tsp. dried basil
1 lb. Rotelle or other pasta, freshly cooked & drained

Put sausage in a 3 quart microwave safe bowl. Cover with lid or paper towel and microwave on High 7 to 9 minutes, stirring twice, until firm to the touch. Drain well. Stir in onions, peppers, sauce and basil. Cover with lid or vented plastic wrap and microwave on high 8 to 10 minutes, stirring once, until onions and peppers are tender. Stir some cooked sauce into pasta to moisten. Serve sausage-pepper mixture over pasta. Makes 6 servings.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
