MATTERHORN LOAF 
1 loaf cocktail rye bread
1 pkg. sliced Swiss cheese
1 stick butter
1 tbsp. prepared mustard
1 tbsp. poppy seed
1 small onion, finely chopped

Place cheese between slices of bread sandwich style. Put loaf on 2 pieces of foil. Sauté onion in butter; add other ingredients. Spoon 1 teaspoon of butter mixture in each sandwich. Drizzle remaining butter over loaf. Place 2 strips of lightly cooked bacon on top of loaf. Wrap loaf in foil. Bake at 350°F for 15-20 minutes.

Have made this many times although I usually don't have the poppy seeds handy and I tend to use slightly more mustard but oh so good!
